Why do you care anymore? In fact, if you think that Ellinger is such a horrible coach, why aren't you hoping that RSL keeps him now that you have conveniently switched your allegiances? Which side of the fence are you actually on? You seem to be playing both sides depending on which is more convenient for you.

Sure, we know it's not that simple but when you have teams like Middlesbrough taking on Southgate (no coaching experience; decent but not great player; still lacking his coaching licenses) with the other choices out there, I have a hard time seeing any teams short of Southend United taking a look at BA.

Again, I don't know why some folks here like Mo so much. He wasn't able to execute at NY with a team that while it faced some problems has plenty of talent. I don't see any reason to believe he'd do a better job than Ellinger. That issue aside, it looks like RSL sticking by Ellinger is going to lead them to missing out Bruce Arena, Frank Yallop, and Sigi Schmid. All coaches that clearly know how to win the MLS. Some would also put Bradley in there. And seeing what he's done with Chivas this year, he may not be a clear MLS winner but he's looking to be a better choice than Ellinger. I hope Ellinger turns out to be a great coach. BUt as it stands now, he's pulled off 8 wins from 46 games.
I was actually referring to Bruce Arena. and see no comment whatsoever in support or ridicule of MO Johnston... in fact I could care less about Mo!

A strong case could be made that as long as horrible coaches remain in MLS, all of MLS suffers. The USMNT suffers too. Are American players really going to develop under these guys? 8 out of 46 really is quite terrible no matter how you look at it.

So, no matter who you support you can have an interest in seeing that the talent pool of MLS coaches improves.

I do hope that there is a good talent pool of MLS coaches. I just don't want any of them coaching at the Crapids or the Cheatos. I hope both of them have horrible coaches for the rest of their existence. The other 10 coaches can make up the difference in talent to cover for them being bad as far as I'm concerned.
