Since they will have students as young as 12 there, I can only imagine that it will be like the IMG Academy.

Sounds like a good way to kick off off the pre-season. Plenty of teams to schrimmage against. Hopefully this could lead to a couple young, talented Real Madrid kids getting loaned to RSL.

I think that this is not the important thing of this project.
Real Madrid has many Academies of football in the world but they are charitable. The only elite Academy is the one in Madrid. When Real Madrid signs a kid of Mexico or Venezuela, it takes him to Madrid, very far from his family. It is a problem.
The Academy in Real Salt Lake will be the second elite Academy of Real Madrid. The Madrid Academy will work on the European market while the RSL Academy will receive children of the whole America who will be near from his families. You will not need European young players because you are going to have the best American kids.

I think this is what RM and RSL try to do.
