DNews said that Torres was replaced for an injury. Said that his knee has been bothering him.

Coach confirmed that during the post game. Torres failed a functional test before the game.

So, what you're saying is that Torres wasn't functional...

Thanks I didn't know this. I guess thats why I was confused.

So next week we should look forward to a backline of:
Akwari-Talley-Cabrera-Forko

Right?

Not necessarily. It is my understanding that the decision on Torres was made the day of the game. Who knows, next week he may be saying, "I got better..." (anyone, anyone?)

If so then Ellinger might try...
Torres-Talley-Akwari-Forko.

and again, where is Cabrera? What a waste!

I spoke with Torres after the game and he said he was optimistic that he'd play against L.A.

Damn he gets paid a lot to play for the reserves!

The difference between his match against the galaxy and the Crew was like watching two different players.
Against the Galaxy, as Hiba pointed out in another thread...
the run of play was, pass to Gustavo... one touch... lose ball.... repeat.

But that was certainly not the case against Crew.
Cabrera had an awesome match on Sunday. He was very aggressive on and off the ball. He earned a yellow and was a big problem for the Crew offense.
