Part of the schedule now known!

Aero over on Bigsoccer posted some dates that show RSL on the Rice Eccles website. 12 out of the 16 days are shown.

April 16
April 30
May 14
May 28
June 11
June 22
June 25
July 4
July 23
August 6
August 13
August 20

The schedule is just missing the games for September and October. So we are missing 4 games so you have to figure 2 or 3 games at home in September and then 1 or 2 home games in October.

But at least now we can mark our calendars. So far it looks like 10 games on Saturdays, 1 on a Monday (July 4th) and then 1 on a Wednesday (June 22nd.) Check that out, a game on Wed 22nd and then another on Sat 25th. That's going to be a Holy Week.

All game times will be at 7-8pm unless they are on TV. Expect the April 16th game against the CRapids (on ESPN2) to be at 3-4pm.

Are you times MST? I think the afternoon games start 1-2pm MST with the night games starting around 5pm.

The following was also posted on the same Bigsoccer thread.

"All the kiddies who want to see Freddy Adu play should mark Monday 9/5 (Labor Day) on their schedules. That is the date when DC United is slated to play RSL in Salt Lake (DC schedule has been done for a while due to week-by-week coordination required each weekend with the new baseball team sharing RFK)."

I just visited the RES site again and the schedule is no longer up. It now just says "Schedule Coming Soon..." I wonder if that was something that wasn't supposed to be released yet. Hopefully, it was accurate.

Regardless of when RES puts out the schedule (word now is all teams will have it out by Monday, Feb.14); I think any TV game will be a afternoon game, approximately 3pm local time because all ESPN games are 5pm EST and any non-ESPN game will be on 7-8pm local time.

One other thing I noticed while on the RES site. They have released the first few games of the football schedule so I wouldn't count on any games being scheduled on those Saturdays.

Thu.* 09-01-05* Arizona
Sat. 09-10-05 Utah State
Sat. 10-1-05 North Carolina Chapel Hill, N.C.TBA

It looks like there might be two open Saturdays in Sept though, the 17th and 24th. If they play games on those dates and with the DC game on Labor Day, that might be 15 of the 16 home game dates.

And now that I look at it, the 10/1 game is an away game so that is another possibility.
