Unfortunately for me, I was pretty liberal with my Argentine brethren that could actually play ball and make the jerseys look good (as opposed to me...), so I ended up leaving Argentina with only 8 total. But here's what I have now:

Real Salt Lake - Home (2005)
Real Salt Lake - Away (2005)
Real Salt Lake - Training (2005)
USMNT (2) - Home (2002)
New England Revolution - Away (2003? $7.00 at Reebok outlet in Park City. Flipping sweet!)
Boca - Home (2003)
Boca - Away (2001-02?)
River - Away (2003)
Racing - Home (2003)
San Lorenzo - Home (2003)
Independiente - Away (2003?)
Newell's Old Boys - Home (2002?)
Belgrano - Home (2003)
AFA Referee Jersey - Signia brand, 2003
Argentine Nats - Away (2004)
Argentine Nats - Goalkeeper, orange (1998)
Club L. N. Alem - Longsleeve Home (2001?)
Peru Nats - Home (2005)

Mmmmm. Polyester.

If I didn't have kids, I'd probably have a lot more, but feeding the young'ns seems to take precedence. I guess it's some sort of evolutionary compulsion or something. However...

I brought home with me from Brazil:

1996 Gremio
1994 Flamengo
1994 Brazil (still has three stars on it, personalized with my name and number)

From other days in MLS fandom:

2003 SJ Quakes

and from last year:

2005 RSL

They're all home jerseys or firsts or primary kits or whatever the proper terminology may be.

My question for Deuce and Geoff, how often do you wear one of your jerseys?

I can only fit my Quakes or RSL jersey anymore. I've changed in size since 1996 drastically.

I always bought larger than I needed now the XL's still fit but are tighter than they used to be but most are 2xl and they fit fine.

If I could wear jerseys to work I would be wearing a jersey pretty much every day. alas they have a dress code and i have to work so i can afford more jerseys. 😉

I usually wear at least one jersey a week to work. This week it was Newell's. 99.9% of the time I play soccer in one of my jerseys as well. I always wear my RSL t-shirt that I got when they unveiled the name at least once a week as well.

I would wear RSL all week, but I don't look too good in my away and training jerseys anymore. I've got quite the stomach (sympathy weight for my pregnant wife???) and both of those jerseys (smalls) show it off quite well. I actually wear those to play so people underestimate me just a little bit because I'm a little portly. I need all the help I can get.

I don't have a lot of money to get more RSL stuff like polos, more t-shirts, etc. either. Luckily, most of my other jerseys still fit me pretty well. It's funny sometimes when people don't know exactly why I'm wearing a bright royal blue shirt that says "Pepsi" on it. Gotta love it.

I always bought as big as they came. Since you may not have spent time there, let me tell you, Brazilians are not large people. XL was difficult to find, but that's what I bought, and they fit really really, really tight. I just keep them in the closet.

Has anyone ever come up with a good way for displaying jerseys, other than putting them in a frame? I was thinking of hanging them in a bookshelf or something like that in my study...assuming my study ever stops being a spare room with a folding table with a computer on top.

I think we have a winner... but don't get too comfortable... 😉
That is an impressive list. Looks like I have some catching up to do. 🙂

I forgot to mention my 05 USA home jersey signed by Freddy Adu (Hopefully it will be signed by Donovan, Pope and Klein tomorrow.)
