OK, we've established that some of you have some incredibly large jersey collections - as a collector myself, my hat's off to some of you......your collections blow mine out of the water. So now what I want to know is, who's got the most rare jersey? I don't mean one-of-a-kind, like a game worn or autographed jersey, or your most valuable, I mean a jersey from some far off place or some obscure team nobody's heard of (cRapids jerseys, while certainly fitting this category, are not eligible. Neither is your old AYSO jersey from when you were 8). Here's my best shots:

RSL2006 Home RSL 2005 Practice BayernMunchen2005 England reversible 2005 Argentina 2005 San Martin de San Juan, Argentina (2nd div) Emelec of Guayaquil Barcelona 2004 Tanzania nat'l team I tried to get a jersey for Simba-- Tanzania's best club team-- when I was in Moshi, Tanzania after climbing Kilimanjaro. I went all over the city asking if they had one. Finally a guy took me to his stand and handed me a red jersey with a poorly-sewn Liverpool logo! I smiled and told him even though I was American I could still recognize a Liverpool jersey, and he put it away with an embarrassed smile. Still looking for that Simba jersey! Jerseys are my new souvenir whenever I travel. At least it's something I can use. By the way, Glen Puckrin of Utah Blitzz is opening a new soccer store in Clinton, Utah on June 3rd-- he's brought over a bunch of Rangers jerseys, if anyone's interested. | |||||

River Plate '01 Centenial Home Bahamas National Team Home South Africa National Team Home (gift) I'm working on collecting a nats jersey from every country I have visited. Still on my list: Canada Bermuda Puerto Rico Barbados St. Lucia St. Maarten BVI USVI Cayman Islands Mexico Some are harder than other to find. St. Lucia will be tricky as it is the poorest, most disorganized of the Caribbean nations I have visited. If anyone can point my in a good direction to find obscure jerseys, let me know. | |||||
