The "Umber" Drum Thread

I have long thought I would like to buy a certain member of The Loyalists a bigger drum. Someone suggested it elsewhere... so I thought lets make it happen.

There is an paypal account. Donations can be made there. Any funds beyond what is needed to buy a nice medium size drum will be donated in the name of The Loyalists to Kam's Kauses.

Perhaps Loyal1 can help us find a good deal on a drum... as best I can tell (from a 2 minute google search) you can get one for about $70...

So, if there are any good souls who would like to help me in my drive to get a drum. You now know how to do it.

I got mine for $30 at Music-go-round.

But I went to music-go-round the other day to get the head fixed and found that it was gone! Does anyone know if it moved or something? or is it just gone?

If you are interested in purchasing musical instruments, you may wish to consider making said purchase from Nessie's mommy & aunt:

2191 E 3300 South. All proceeds go to the Feed Nessie Fund.

my wife is selling a snare drum (minus the snare ... well the snare comes with it but its missing a piece of it that keeps it tight) think she's looking for around $40 ... might be able to get her to sell it cheaper ... its loud but it doesn't sound the same as the other drums that i can tell.

Music-go-round is gone as far as I can tell. You'll get much better deals and service at Backbeats anyway. BACK BEATS DRUM SHOP 6089 South Highland Dr Salt Lake City, Utah 84121. The guys over there are way cool and may even cut you a deal if you let them know why you are doing it. I will ask the drummer in my band to talk to them next time he is up there and get me some prices. I will also check with my friend who is the manager of the drum department at Guitar Center. I also found this on ebay along with a few others: http://cgi.ebay.com/SILVERTONE-Pro-12-Tom-Drum_W0QQitemZ7407392776QQcategoryZ38096QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Hope this helps cuz he really does need a bigger drum!!
