Me! Me! MEEEeeee!

(though I admit, I was getting discouraged. I have at least lived by the rule, "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all.")

I hope the team gives more and more reason for the annoying to annoy the pessimist. Can you agree with me on that? :victory:

Been away from a computer for a few days, and was just looking for this thread today so I can post that I still remember!

Our record this time last year:

Games Played: 15
Wins: 3
Loses: 9
Draw: 3
points: 12
place: second to last

This year
Games played: 14
Wins: 3
Loses: 8
Draws: 3
points: 12
place: second to last..

not much of a change there.....

Wait for it... wait for it...

I know everyone's waiting to pounce on my prediction, but the time is not quite yet.

By my count we have played 18 league matches, and have 15 to go. That is well past mid-season.

Lets have your mid-season analysis.

On another post I mentioned that we should get rid of Ellinger when/if we become mathematically knocked out of the playoffs.

We weren't mathematically knocked out until the bitter end last year, right? The conference is doing better this year, but I remember we were still in it for the road trip in Colorado. I want to see a pink slip NOW!

There is something sort of endearing about your optimism. But in a way it reminds me of watching Roberto Benigni in "Life is Beautiful"...you had to admire the undying optimism he puts on for his son's benefit, but Guido still ends up dying. And his son never really won a tank. It is mid-season and none of us have changed our tune, if anything more people now see what was clear a year ago to others. Consider this your moment of coming across a pile of dead, decaying bodies.

If we make the playoffs this year I will treat you to either the best, most lavish dinner available in a restaurant in South Africa (I know some great ones in Cape Town) in 2010, or arange a Zulu feast in your honor that same year.
