Also a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped me stop the fight in Section 31. Its nice to know that some people can keep level heads.
Although it really sucked because it made me miss some fantastic soccer (especially the save from Garlic :pissed: )!!!!

I did think it was cool how Kreis got the team to salute you guys. They showed that on DK.

The split between the Loyalists and RCB was quite unfortunate. Hopefully in future years, we can eventually be back together again. We really need to have one area of the stadium for those fans who like to be enthusiastic and vocal, rather than spread all over the place.

As noted above, Chicago does a great job getting several groups to all sit together in one unified voice. You really do notice them when you watch a game played in Chicago. This is really what we hopefully can do in the future.

again, relax and let's just see how the season plays out.

I will say this however, I have a job where I talk all day.... 20 minutes in and I don't know how long my voice is going to hold up today.

I don't know about the whole group... I know that a few of them are VERY unhappy with RSL right now, though, so it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't come back this year.

Are they still upset over the Sandy stadium or is it something else?

Were the jesters perhaps over in the RCB section? That's where they usually were last year.

I think the split will be a good thing IF both groups can get the sections around them involved. Having hardcore supporters spread out around the stadium will help the atmosphere.

I have a thought on how to increase numbers in the groups.....in talking to casual RSL fans, almost all of them think they're not allowed to come cheer with the supporters groups. They think they have to be paid members, or have a special credential. Or they're afraid to because they don't know the chants.

If you're going to spread the word (which you should), make sure to mention that you don't have to pay money or be special to join the group. And put their fears at ease about not knowing the chants - nobody cares and they'll pick them up quickly. FWIW.

I was sitting in the corporate seats on the West side / midfield...

The problem for both the Loyalists and RCB was the fact that Samba Gringas got moved to the south end zone. Now don't get me wrong, the music is fantastic and loud enough for the whole stadium to hear (better acoustics), BUT, they drowned out the supporters groups.

My humble suggestion is to get with Samba and organize certain cheers during certain parts of the game...introductions, kick off, certain intervals, after goals, etc. With Samba Gringas providing the beat and the Loyalist and RCB providing the words (and maybe get the replay board), I do think we can get the whole stadium involved.

Right now, the drums drown out everything. BTW, friends of mine were in the North endzone, west side...they could only hear the drums...they couldn't hear the Loyalists at all.

BTW...the people on the west side do appreciate your efforts...

From what I understand (which is admittedly not complete), that's only part of it.
