Currently worst in the west.

It's nice in some ways. It's wonderful in contrast to some of the FCD fans that have resurected their "fire colin" thread. OK, 4 loses in a row isn't fun but come on, this is the MLS where parity is king. Being that far out in front is a pretty good accomplishment.

jules, I've always supported you. I'm sorry to see that you've been sucked into the doom and gloom zone. First, don't call me Mrs. anything. I'm way too hair to be that. Second, I haven't called for optimism outright. I've called for patients and camaraderie. When I first started reading these boards (this one and BS) I did so because we could talk soccer. Disagree without bashing and disagree with the team moves at times be with anticipation of good things to come. Since then, too many who, must have little positive going on in their lives, choose to bash anyone who give a shred of hope. I'm not an optimist. No, far from it. I just want to find anyone who has hope and can enjoy the team for a minute.

This week thinks look bad because of a disgusting loss. The post you commented on I wrote last week, when people should have been patting each other on the back for a great streak. Instead, look at the sickening reaction from the grotesque and childish demeaning that goes on. Alas, to see that you've fallen into it. Oh, to see that PRK is now a mainstay in the trolling world. The problem is, the good posters have stopped. I'm not sure why I continue. But I guess it's because the scientist side of me wonders how long I can build ire in simpletons by saying positive things about the team. I guess I'll have to continue until I find their limit or someone tells me I have to stop enjoying my team publicly.

I'm in no "doom and gloom" zone. I forecast each week based on gut instincts. Sometimes I think we'll win despite the odds--sometimes (like last week)--I think we'll lose despite the "odds."

I enjoy your posts, knowwonnose, because they are refreshingly optimistic and cheerful. I'm sorry if my teasing was taken more harshly than it was meant. Nothing personal, ok? :-)

P.S. You calling anyone a simpleton is so rich in irony that anemics as far away as Colorado Springs have been cured.

Very funny!

I disagree with you totally, but very funny.

I'm in the optimist camp. Always have been and always will be. I love our team. I love watching our team. If I get to watch them win, I consider it a bonus. As far as I'm concerned, our record for this season is 4 and 1. Everything before that was....practice. So rejoice, we're having a winning season. Who cares what everyone else says?

Ellinger is the winningest coach we've ever had! Hooray for Ellinger!

We're all forgetting, this is UTAH we're talking about here. Don't we lead the nation in anti-depressant use? It's not hard to be optimistic if you are pumped full of Prozac. I guess we just need our prescriptions refilled.
