Thats just my opinion though!

Now don't take this as a dig against you, but don't mistake his looking like he was going to pass for working really hard. It doesn't take much to become short winded when you're out of shape. The only time I saw him work hard last year, was at the end of the year when there was a lot of talk about who would be sent packing.
I'm sure Williams has talent...but maybe for the A-League.

He has got to go...

I couldn't sit back and not comment on this one... I think Andy is a fantastic player.. very skilled and very hard working. Although he did at times give up rather easily against chivas, thats just one game! we cant just blame him for poor effort, all 11 players left something to be desired! Andy adds flair to the game and is very enjoyable to watch. we definately shouldnt get rid of him.

i thought that conditioning was going to be a huge area to work on for RSL this year. Either RSL had a lack of conditioning or ball awe, which is something like what the guy from Greatest American Hero had when he first saw that spaceship. Either way it does not look good. Andy is a great guy and he does point out where he goes wrong. I hope they an pull it together before we get even further behind the 8 ball.

Who do you want Andy to be?

He and Cunningham are dribblers. Get used to it.

I threw my hands up a number of times. People are doing it here now. Andy can have the same priviledge.

btw, he was voted the team mvp last year.

Williams didn't perform last season and he hasn't consistantly performed on the other 6 teams he's been apart of.

Also, in another thread, can't remember who, but he posted his arguments against the "sloppy" look (untucked jersey, sleaves over the hands, etc) Williams has. I couldn't agree more. This definitely doesn't help with him needing to be removed.

Alright I wasn't going to comment on this one because I understand some people being upset, dissapointed and frustrated, but this is simply not factual. Andy had a few seasons as highest goalscorer, team MVP and the fact is that there are things that happen in soccer that are simply beyond the control of the player when it comes to transfers and changes. I get being frustrated, feel free to be angry, but blaming the performance of the team on one guy is simply silly. I don't think Andy had a great first half but his second half was much better and I thought he contributed very well. It was a team loss, not an Andy Williams loss, I didn't see him out of position on the first goal, I did see him running back though, I didn't see him make a mistake on the second goal but I did see him try to rally everyone and make an aggressive attack right afterwards that didn't pay off but still he was trying, I didn't see him make a mistake on the third goal, but he did make some great runs and whether or not they (the team) accomplished anything from those runs or efforts the fact is that he made just that an effort and given that the team lost I am just happy that there was effort to see. Blaming one player for a teams loss is a futile and pointless arguement.

To add to that, Andy Williams was fouled @5 times in the 1st half of the game. It's hard for any player to look like they're part of the offesense whenever they get the ball they can't do anything with it because they get fouled.

I like Andy Williams, I'm not depressed about the season, I was very impressed by the play of Medhi and Cunningham (among others), even though the chances didn't fall for them, and I do think the team will turn it around sooner than later. Maybe even next game. I also believe that Chivas will be one of the teams to beat this year.

IBIK said that Williams and Ballouchy may switch spots. I was thinking that when I saw the game as well. I'm very excited for the next game!

I'm not blaming the loss on one player, 11 are on the field. I'm blaming Williams for is slow speed of play and what seems to be a lack of interest.
Now, if that is the tactic that Ellinger has been pushing( hold the ball, pass it back, pass it back again, work it around the defense, wait for the opposing defense to open up) then I guess I just don't get excited about that type of play.
With that, I'm just tired of seeing Williams (based on last season and what was seen Sat) throw his arms up and quit on the play when he could easily turn and make a play on the ball.

High rate of play + quick transitions + numerous chances on goal = Exciting play (is this equation wrong?)

At this point I would settle for numerous chances on goal = Exciting play
