What will the "balanced rosters" do to all the reserves that might have seen some playing time in a home match once the outcome had already been decided?

It's about time MLS recognized the Supporters' Shield Holders. An automatic berth in the Champion's Cup is long overdue.

Balanced roster means that both teams dress 18 players.

Last year only 16 players traveled unless there was a reserve match. This meant making the travel roster for Watson, Cutler, etc an accomplishment.

Now more players will make the trip and give the away coach more flexibility.

Still only 3 subs so it won't really alter anyone's playing time.
