I wish him the best of luck.

Well, I figure he was going to be gone anyway, was never super impressed with his play (especially speed and control), and figure that he had basically zero trade value, but...a 4th round supplemental pick? What are we going to do with that? Seriously...what's the point of even getting that? What are the chances that we'll be keeping the 4th round supplemental pick?
Well, whatever. | |||||

I knew somebody would be leaving, and he was one of my predictions. Ah well, he wasn't too good.

Hey, don't diss the 4th round supplemental draft picks, man. We could sign somebody there who could be the next Jordan Cila!

We get another pick vs. just releasing him outright. Something is better than nothing...

Player Team that drafted them/where they are now Jason Hernandez Metros/Chivas Bill Gaudette Crew/Crew Michael Lookingland RSL/RSL Abe Thompson Dallas/Dallas Eric Vasquez Crew/Crew Aaron Pitchkolan Dallas/Dallas Noah Palmer RSL/RSL Cameron Knowles RSL/RSL I agree usually Supplemental picks are less than stellar, but RSL still has 3 of their 4 picks from last year, including their 4th round pick, Knowles. And for $11,500 how can you go wrong 🙄 Sorry to see Cila go, but we all knew it was going to happen. Good luck Jordan! Its been nice ![]()

Question for you guys in the know: We have like 4 supplemental draft picks now, right? And we're already 4 players over the league max, right? So, is it possible that uncle Dave's going to package a few (or all) of the picks, and maybe a few developmental squad guys, and trade them for one serviceable player from another team? We definitely need to reduce headcount, but some teams (namely Chivas) need to fill quite a few holes and might be interested in something like that. Maybe we can trade our 4 picks and get Dunseth back.🙂

The fact that we still had 3 shows how little depth we really had last year. Like you have said, for 11,500, use all 4 of the picks, invite them to camp, and see if you get really lucky and find 1 or 2 who can stick. BTW...Abe Thompson is a pretty darn good supp pick.

The fact that we still have 3 after all the changes we already had in the off-season shows that maybe these guys are servicable after all.
But to answer I_Believe_In_Kreis's question, I really think MLS teams don't look at Supplemental picks as that big of deal. I don't think there is anyone on any other MLS team that RSL would want for Supplemental picks. Sorry. No, I think RSL will make their 4 picks today and then cut 2 of them (at least) by the time the season starts. Also look for guys like Trembly, Fitzpatrick, Gregorio, Kreamamayer, Flores, Lookingland and Knowles to be on the hot seat. BTW I think if RSL drafts Jeff Rowland today, it wouldn't be a waste.
