Connor Casey in Utah?

I saw this on the bigsoccer site, thought I would post it here...now Im curious too!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So a buddy of mine, who is not a soccer fan, works as a personal trainer in SLC. He had a new client the other day working rehab on his leg that said he played in Germany. Of course this sparked my curiosity and I made him find out his full name. Turns out it was Connor Casey of Olympic and Mainz 05 fame. My question - why is he in Utah?

Sounds like he is bound to return to Germany.

With the dollar Cratering Out against the Euro, it's probably cheaper for European clubs to send guys to the US for rehab than it is to send them down the street.

I'm not saying this to be a flag waving patriot. They send the players here because more of the best doctors and best facilities and programs are here in the US.

Well, that too.

With our armies of doctors & physical therapists trained on rehabbing Gridiron football injuries, it's a wonder that we don't see more European soccer pros in the US.

Just a little update.
The same fellow that started this conversation over at BS, posted again and said that his friend asked Conner Casey what he was up to and Casey basically said he was trying to sign with RSL.
How? What? When? Why?

Thats all we know.
Sounds like its time to email the FO.
