Who from the team was there?

Trey Fitz-Gerald was there, Chris Keeney, and Steve Pastorino. They were all really cool as usual. Also representatives from The Muss were there, working out some sort of deal with The Loyalists and RSL. No players.

Here's some highlights:
The RSL front office is behind the rivalry-cup with Colorado, but is leaving it in our hands as fans, they are willing to help though. I believe S. Pastorino said Erick Scott from C.R. will not re-sign with MLS and therefore won't be on RSL's roster. Somebody correct me if I heard wrong. There might be a big sponsorship in the works for The Loyalists. Ask Loyal1. Most, if not all away games (and some home games) will be televised locally. I'll remember more later. __________________

Maybe that will work out. Scott may be called up by Costa Rica, and would have missed RSL games. Maybe we can find a Jamaican, Honduran or Trinidadian who won't have as much international duty? But on the other hand, whose job was it to check the expiration dates on players' contracts before the expansion draft? Any word on Halilovic? (Or however you spell it.)

They said they knew his contract was to expire but said they thought it was worth the risk.
Halilovic is a done deal and will not count as an allocation. I think he said they'd announced the deal officially very soon (or did they already?) __________________

Yeah, I probably would have drafted Scott, too. Tico players are usually worth risks like that.
Congratulations to whoever worked out that Big Sponsorship deal, and thanks for your hard work.

More things I remember:
Murray has presented a great offer and SLC is still putting together their package. If possible, D.C. wants to go with the downtown location. RSL were offered a big-name player but turned it down due to salary concerns (big, long-term salary). We were told the player but it seemed to be sort of a mum deal so I'm not sure if it's to be repeated. Ask Loyal1. There was also an interesting tidbit about the US Soccer crisis that I'm not sure if it should be made known publicly for the best of the player in question. Ask Loyal1 :D __________________

What's up with the USMNT?
Did the doctor that performed the lobotomies on the USSF executives and the Players' Association say that he was really sorry & he'll try to fix them back up? As a guy who has watched Carlos Hermosillo & Luis Hernandez play for his club team; passing up a big, long-term salary is probably a good idea. If Countess recreates his 2003 season here this year, and that big, long term salary was Keller; I might have to amend this post in a few months.

It wasn't Keller. They were trying to get him but found out about his move to Germany as they were walking into the SuperDraft.
