PDL teams

I wonder if this will eventually provide any talent for RSL.

Huh didn't expect that. Good for BYU, will make it easier for them to travel and should be fun for North Utah fans.

FYI This Hickman guy mentions he has a Redlands connection. Guess who went to Redlands U? RSL unofficial reservist Adam Acosta.

Hmmm, interesting. Does Utah run the risk of oversaturation? I mean, we have the Utah Spiders, BYU PDL, now the Outlaws; and all this not to mention Real and all the college teams (University of Utah, BYU, Weber State, Utah State, Utah Valley State, Dixie, Southern Utah University).

Salt Ratzz are gone.
BYU PDL=BYU
and most of the other colleges you mentioned don't even have a men's programs.

Plus Ogden and Provo are fairly distant to not strain the fanbase.
Lets remember this is the PDL after all and if attendance is over 200 per game it will probably make it.

Hopefully it'll just add to our reputation as a center of soccer here in the USA.

The whole purpose of this team is to enhance the college programs. Colleges play in the fall, PDL in the spring. The majority of the roster will be college players who want to improve their play and stay sharp in the offseason and still maintain their amateur status. He also wants to include the top players from Utah. Plus, they will be involved in the local soccer programs and provide camps and training for local youth. This will only improve the young players and their skills. I've seen discussion on this board about the quality of play in Utah, that it needs to improve. Hopefully, this will help.

Hickman does have ties to Redlands, and Adam Acosta is a former player on the Salt Ratz, which Hickman coached the last few games in their final season of existance.

I know Mike personally, and know he will do a good job. 🕺

I think every college he mentioned has a men's team associated with it (some more than 1). Not positive about SUU.

Didn't see this thread until now and didn't see the news mentioned in the Tribune. This should be a lot of fun. Now Ogden and BYU can have a "utah cup" sort of thing for the best minor league team where the teams are at the same level. (Sort of like the English LD Vans Trophy on a very small local scale)
Back when the Blitzz played BYU, the Blitzz were a bit much for the Cougars as they played in a higher league but BYU did earn at least one draw in Provo.

Too bad they are stuck in a baseball stadium, but this should be a lot of fun for Weber area fans.

Here is their website...right now in its infancy, more being added when appropriate.
