SUU has a club team right now. They've been trying to get a program like the girls for a long time now, but nothing has come of it so far.

Abottsford, eh? I didn't know there were Candian teams in the PDL.
Am I understanding correctly that they're done by the middle of July? Sorry in advance for the PDL ignorance. __________________

We need to get RSL setup like the Chicago Fire.
http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/chf/youth/ They had like 15 of their youth affiliations drafted this year in the Superdraft and supplemental draft, including our own Jeff Rowland. From Chicagofire.com Etc... The Fire would like to congratulate the Chicago Fire Juniors of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League on seeing ten of its alumni taken in last Friday's MLS SuperDraft in Philadelphia, a number that represented more than 20% of the players taken in the draft. The Fire Juniors' roster of new MLS talent includes: Jed Zayner (13th overall pick, Columbus Crew), Lance Watson (16th, Kansas City Wizards), Brian Plotkin (20th, Chicago), Brandon Moss (27th, Columbus), Matt Groenwald (28th, Kansas City), Ray Burse (30th, FC Dallas), Kyle Brown (35th, New England Revolution), Chris Dunsheath (36th, Los Angeles Galaxy), Blake Camp (41st, MetroStars) and Mike Ambersley (43rd, Dallas). The 10 players, who accounted for 105 regular season games played for one of the most successful teams, have helped lead the Fire Premier to five consecutive PDL division titles. The Fire would like to congratulate the Chicago Fire Juniors of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League, who had five players selected in last Thursday's 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft. The Fire kept Dayton Flyers defender Dasan Robinson in its "player pyramid" after selecting him with the 22nd overall pick in the second round. Other Fire Premier alums taken in the Supplemental Draft included: Jeff Rowland (2nd overall selection, Real Salt Lake), Brad Napper (18th, FC Dallas), Sean Bab**** (30th, FC Dallas) and Daniel Wasson (38th, Colorado). When combined with the squad's 10 players plucked from the MLS SuperDraft on Jan. 20, the Chicago Fire Premier accounted for an astounding 15 of the 95 players taken between the two drafts this year. __________________ "If we played like that every week we wouldn't be so inconsistent" - Bryan Robson, Man U, 1990. Abbotsford is in the same division as the Ogden Outlaws. I believe they are just over the north border of Washington. Last regular season game is July 15...at least for Ogden. Playoffs follow. They end so early to allow the college kids to get back to their schools in time to report for camp. In fact, the teams who make it to the finals will probably end up having to report a little late. __________________

The dread of all PDL schedules. In the beginning the college players are gone and at the end they all leave.
My home town Kraze won the championship in 2004 but fortunately all their better players lived in Orlando and went to school here. Good luck Cougs and Outlaws! | |||||
