Great sighting!

Thanks for sharing.

Do you know where I can get a copy? Will it just be at pretty much any store?

Pony Express Days

This weekend in Eagle Mountain, it was Pony Express Days. We had a fair and a Country Music concert and Fireworks and so forth. But the subject of my post happened during the parade. I wore my RSL jersey out to watch the parade. A few people saw me wearing it as they took their seats beside the road and said, "nice shirt."

But the really weird part was when people started yelling at me from the parade floats, "Hey, nice shirt, are you going to the game tonight?"

There was even a politician who was working the crowd, that stopped and struck up a conversation with me about Real. He moved along without laying any of his stickers, pamphlets or T-Shirts on me though. I guess he must have thought that he made enough of an impression on me by telling me he was planning on going to the game.

lol, i went to Juan Diego, graduated 3 years ago. i wonder who the hidden gem is? anyone with a copy want to inform me? that would be sweet and very much appreciated since i have no idea where to pick up one of those magazines.

i honestly think this RSL/soccer thing is reallllyyyyy catching on here. if the team makes the playoffs i would expect the SSS bill for funding to get passed fairly easily. people seem eager to have another successful PRO team to support (i think many are tired of the stingers/grizzlies). to the city and state, RSL is big time and if they do well its going to be great (not that it isnt already, anybody else in the league get this much press?). the WCQ game made one hell of an impression on the state thats for sure. for so many people to see such a high level of sports close to home, im sure we won a lot of coverts with that game. if we had a WCQ ever 2.5-3 years it would do wonders for the amount of support we could get.

by the way, our average attendance is now over 21k (almost 22k), just a measily 240 people per game behind #1 LA. this weekend isnt going to help us make any ground up though haha. hopefully LA gets a huge crowd so our average goes up and we stay right behind them. how great would it be for us to average more than the jazz in our first year? another thing that would make passing public funding for a stadium easier.

It's Marquis Wilson... the kid who got a football scholarship to the U for this fall.

They were handing out free copies of the magazine at the Best People-Watching Tailgate Ever on Saturday, which was funny considering that there were two whiny letters to the editor saying how much soccer sucks in it.

I feel sorry for old people. 🙂

I had a good sighting experience. Actually, it was me that was sighted sort of.

I was at a church activity tonight and somebody suddenly yelled out to me, "Juliana! You're a Loyalist!!" She was so excited (and so was I obviously). She said she has tickets in the north end zone and saw me at a game. Her brother comes to stand with us sometimes and I encouraged her to come over sometime and stand with us too.

I'm so excited to have someone around the corner from me who goes up to the games. I can sniff a new Loyalist somewhere in the near future.

I had three RSL sightings within 24 hours!

1) I went to the University Bookstore to get a snicky-snack yesterday afternoon, and they had some RSL T-shirts for sale right where you walk in. People must have been going there before games thinking they could buy shirts or something...

2) I decided to go to the park last night and run instead of going to the gym because the bus was late and I missed spinning class. There were like 7 little-kid soccer practices going on, and I spotted five or six kids wearing the red RSL T-shirts with "Salt Lake 05" on the back.

3) I was sitting in traffic on 215 eastbound this morning, and there was a car in front of me with an RSL sticker AND an RSL license plate holder.
