Alright, I've set up a subscription service for the forums. I know some may be against this since they want the world to be free, so do I, but let's face it, hosting costs money.

I have set up the subscription for $6.00 for a year's subscription. That's only $0.50 a month for all of the things you see below. I honestly believe that this will become the place for discussion of Real Salt Lake matches, and issues, so $0.50 will help keep that alive. I've already spent almost $200 out of my own pocket to get this site rolling, and quite frankly I would have done it anyway, it'd just be nice to have some help to offset the costs.

Here's what you get so far...
Can Set Self to Invisible Mode - So you will not be listed on the forums as being online.
Can Use Custom Titles - Change the title under your username to whatever you want. (Not Administrator or Moderator)
Can Use Signatures - Create a signature below each of your posts which can include vbCode
Can Upload Custom Avatars (100x100) - Have an image next to your name, you can choose from the current avatars or upload a custom avatar.
Can Store 300 PM's - More private messages (Non-Subscriber is 50)
Can Edit and Delete Own Calendar Events - Pretty Self-Explanatory.

I may add more features as I add different things to the forums, which I will definetly be doing.

Now I understand, first you wanted $15 to become a LOYaLIST and now you want $6 more in order to look better on this board?!?!?!?!? Ha, Ha

Well Neil runs the forums by himself. He also is gracious enough to host the Loyalist website for free. Support him if you can!

I second the motion enthusiastically.

I can't tell you how much of a benefit it is to have this forum, since I'm not in Utah and have no high quality and reliable sources for inside information about RSL or link to my fellow club supporters. This forum has been great in the short time I've been here, and I think it will only get better. I have to keep reminding myself that we haven't even played a league game yet!

I also appreciate the quality of posts and members here. I've never joined a forum before because I had yet to find one that maintained enthusiasm without the in-your-face stupidity that's so prevelant on the web. Here, you can have a discussion and/or a disagreement without it degenerating into sophomoric taunting. But that doesn't mean there's not plenty of humor and cleverness--I always find something to make me laugh on this forum.

So all praise to Neil and the core group of plankholders who started this forum and set the tone for it. If you like what you see here and want it to continue, support it. It's not asking much for maintaining what is already the best club forum in MLS--for the best club in MLS.
