Crapids Are A Joke

The Crapids only had 9000 fans show up for a playoff game against FC Dallas. How pathetic is that?

I had to read this twice to make sure I saw the number correctly. Pathetic only begins to describe them and their fans/supporters.

Yes, and I think more than 2 dozen of those came from Dallas.

They were the fans actually making noise.

But... but... I thought it was a *fact* that it was Uncle Phil and the Crapids' overwhelming success that made it possible for RSL to exist?

I mean, it was a real rocket science that told us this, so it must be true.

I think you're lying.

As much fun as it is to gloat about attendance records 😛 (nyah nyah nyah!!) I'm always alarmed when other teams fail to bring in the big crowds. I think....

A. I want MLS as a whole to succeed
B. MLS will not succeed if it isn't profitable...eventually... (Wasn't there some women's league....? Ah, that's right... it folded because it wasn't profitable...)
C. The most logical way to make a profit is by getting people to buy tickets and attend games

So I always see small crowds as a threat to the long-term success of MLS and RSL. Someone tell me things are gonna be all right because of... you know... that one thing.

I have stated this before, but CRapids, as a organization, have major issues.
For instance, next Saturday's Leg 2 of this series, in Dallas, is not being broadcasted (thus far). Know why?
Because the CRapids, as the away team, refuses to broadcast it. Whats really said is that Kroenke and company own there personal sports network, Altitudes. But they would rather show NHL regular season Avs match. Could they tape delay the CRapids/Dallas match? Yes, but they would rather REPLAY the Avs game AGAIN right after it is over. Pathetic.

Considering the score last night, I predict a 2-1 Dallas win, which will propel them into the Western Champ game.

True. We're still in this together since the league is so young.

MLS has always struggled at the gate during the playoffs. Many reasons for that, but it's a yearly concern. And if FCD doesn't make it to the Cup Final, I doubt we'll see a sellout at PHP. Come to think of it, it might not be a sellout even if the Hoops make it there.

Another crappy statistic is that most MLS playoffs are poorly attended.
Thats an unfortunate normal statistic.

Good point. They did show the Dallas fans several times during the game.
