How can the ROY not be Parkhurst? I think he's got it sealed up.

Jamie might be the "most promising rookie", but I don't think he's done enough on the field to merit a nomination

I think ESPN's take is that Rolfe has contributed more considering his draft pick and he has not recently screwed up, like Parkhurst.

But if you look at the article, they still say Parkhurst is way ahead of Jamie or Kenny for ROY award.

Interesting... I dont think Cutler will win it and Watson did play enough to prove himself... Watson will be a force in the MLS though.

To have two of our rooks on the list is quite an honor. I remember that there were several critics questioning Ellinger’s 13th pick in the Superdraft, with Marc Connolly leading the way. Coach E knew what he was doing on that call.

Congrats to Watson and Cutler on the recognition.

How will Parkhurst not win ROY? Goals are sexy and Scott Sealy's got 9 of them (w/ 2 assists to boot). And at the end of the year, they'll be looking for the stats for the year. Not who was hot in October.

IMO, it's not whether Watson or Cutler win the ROY (of course that wouldn't be bad either) it's just that they were mentioned for consideration. They both appear to be part of the future of RSL...KUDO's to both.
