I'm in favor of that. Maybe we can get something going right from the start! __________________

I'm too lazy to surf over to BS and find out.
But the Earthquakes roughly doubled their regular home crowd to see their subs play an awful team. Was it Nickel Insouciant Merlot With A Hint Of Oak Night? Did they want to be the first on their block to buy Terremoto Aguilas de Houston gear?

It helps when you are undefeated at home and favored to win the Championship Cup. Plus the team is cleverly made up of a good mixture of players that represent the Bay area's unique demographics. With their current attendance, atmosphere, support and media awareness (oh plus they might be MLS champs soon) it would foolish to move the Quakes now. Unless of course some city in Texas allows the Quakes to play for free or build them a SSS, why move them?

And unfortunately, after several years of slowly building support again in the South and East Bay, the Quakes still face the stadium problem. Years of attempts to get local governments to enter a deal of some kind have failed. That's the unfortunate reality. No one with both the vision and the cash to make it work has stepped forward, leaving the situation unresolved. Having spent several years in NoCal and watching games at Spartan, count me as one who hopes the team can stay in the South Bay. __________________
