Hmmm...I'm not sure if bringing back Mathis is what I want or not. I think when it comes down to it, RSL would be better off spending that kind of money to imrpove the defense....which is where they have totally sucked all season.

One other thing...how do you injure someone by kicking a soccer ball at him? Man, I love soccer and played for years, but some of the players are just the biggest weenies.

As I have posted in other forums...

A random comment from Saturdays press conference...

When Ellinger was asked if Clint MAthis was perhaps looking toward next season already (hence his poor play and benching at half) he said...

"I hope not. What he may not realize yet is that there may be no next year for him."

Ouch... Clint may have finally worn out his welcome.

LOL it is not the kicking at the player that injures it is when the ball hits the target player that does the injuring...

Maybe we can hire him as a house boy. Cause I'd really like to see him stick around. I can't afford to pay him 400k a year, but I'm a good cook and he can have his own shelf in the pantry. :eat:

Seriously, Clint needs to move on...

He obviously isn't going to change his attitude as a "veteran," yet he acts like a 16 year old who knows everything and won't listen to anyone. I don't know if he has anything left in the tank, but I'd much rather the team that takes a chance on him not be us. We gave him a shot, he showed little to nothing, let's move on. We can use the $ to bring in a big name or a couple moderately priced players who can actually add to team chemistry, morale, etc.

A month ago I would have defended Clint, but now I tend to agree with you. When he's calling out team mates for non producing, he should be calling himself out. If he were Jason Kreis, then I would say it's justified, but Clint just doesn't have the numbers to back up his mouth.
