The question now is, do they have investors with money.

Did you read the article?
🙄
MLSE, Maple Leafs Sports Entertainment, owners of the NBA Raptors and NHL Maple Leafs, are not only investing $8-10 million into the stadium, but they will operate the stadium and will pay the MLS expansion fee (+$10 million).

I think the investor issue is the least of Toronto's problems.

The question for us now is, who is the 14th team going to be?
Cleveland, St Louis, Houston, Philly or Milwaukee (although they won't come til 2008 at the earliest)?
Hopefully we will find out on Nov.13.

I wonder if RSL would have been better off if they'd had time to prepare like Toronto and as-yet-to-be-named-expansion-city will have. RSL was named the expansion city with only about 8 months to the start of the season.

That could quite possibly be the most boring stadium I have ever seen in my entire life.

Yeah... what happened to all the fancy overhangs and mountain vistas... and everything that is NOT like every other MLS stadium.

I think someone is pulling our legs aero!

Nevermind that is Toronto... Not Salt Lake.... Canadians are generally boring so i would expect that from them!

They'd probably just put the stage in the middle like they do at HDC.

With articles like this:
http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1131576448013&call_pageid=968867503640&col=970081593064&t=TS_Home

We might start calling Toronto the "anti-RSL".
