How about this from Sigi Schmid in his column on MLSnet.com:

"Real Salt Lake also dug deep. They picked Robert Scarlett to help on the left side and added Adolfo Gregorio for the right side. The defender from Guatemala, Gustavo Cabrera, did not play. This team is still struggling in adding foreign players. Scarlett is OK and Cabrera is an adequate defender - nothing more."

More quality in-depth analysis from the national media.

Something tells me Sigi didn't even bother to watch RSL.

I think he probably just mentioned something about the game so he didn't have to face the wrath of another RSL fan e-mail campaign. 😉

From the reports that everyone is so kind to post, I tend to agree with you hear. Nothing like commenting on something you haven't seen. <:O(

I like the patch idea. Maybe a patch for the Cup Champion and a patch for the other division champion or something. Kind of a recognition thing. Interesting thoughts, by the way, you should post them more often. =)

I don't want to see conference winner patches. I like the idea for the other ones, though.

Yes, he should post them more often.

The thoughts are random and therefore unpredictable, but there will be more . . .

You're right, what are we supposed to do in the offseason? I don't exactly remember what I used to do. I'll just have to watch GolTV and FSC like everyone else.

7. Watched the replay on GolTV of the Italian Supercup, Inter v. Juve. Can these guys play soccer or what? Had a thought, though. You know how the Italian champions wear a scudetto on their uniform and the Italian Cup Champs wear a circular badge? We ought to do that here too. The defending MLS Cup champs, Open Cup champs, and Supporters Shield holders ought to wear patches on their sleeves or something like that. Just a reminder all season long who the big boys are.

I still feel betrayed because we wear white shorts on the road even though we don't have to. I saw the representation of the unis on that card at the naming celebration, THEY LIED. That probably is what they need to do to break the road jinx. Notice all the jinxes are going. First the north goal, then the turf monster...might as well be the road win jinx now.

The patches would be fun. And there could be some kind of extra special patch if you do the double or treble.

From what I understand, the white shorts can be pinned on Coach E. He likes the all white look.

I like the idea of a third uniform with claret shorts and a gold jersey.
