I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully those who didn't have the right attitude yesterday pulled the lead out of their butts and showed they want to be on the field Saturday to bring home a much needed win!!!

D.J did not practice... Ellinger confirmed that Nolly is starting. The only reason is because they are trying to mix things up and stop bleeding goals. D.J. has played well, Ellinger is just trying to get the winning combination on the field.

It looks like Scarlett will be starting in place of Seth Trembly as well.

So, Nolly gets the start. Fabulous. I hope he does well. I thought he looked sharp in the game against the Galaxatives. Maybe a bit shaky because of nerves, but it was his first MLS game.
Anyhow, JohnD... good inside information. Thanks and come again. =)

Indeed... JohnD, if you come with stadium information, we'll all be exceedingly grateful.

(Who are you...?)

I'm so torn. I'm really happy Jay's getting the start but at the same time I have a strong feeling I'm going to miss DJ too. Darn it! They HAD to go and make ANOTHER change on the field didn't they?!? 😉 Well, best of luck to Jay!!!

Maybe John D is related to the Sloop John B? (See how the main sail sets)

Has Nolly been healing lepers and making the blind see in practice? I have to get rid of this annoying job so I can go to practices.

Nolly for DJ seems to me like Rearranging Deck Chairs on the Titanic.

Perhaps it's his style of play and the type of offense the Earthquakes bring that are cause for the change. From what I understand, Nolly is better off his line and in intercepting crosses. Last game the Earthquakes absolutely killed us with crosses. Hindsight says that perhaps Nolly would have helped more in the Revs game too. It sounds like we have a great compliment of goalkeepers (one has lightening fast reflexes, and the other is great off his line), so that we can play either one depending on the offensive strategy a team is likely to employ against us.
