Coordination with Samba Gringa? |

Coordination with Samba Gringa? I know some people who were sitting on the west side during the last game and they were saying how horrible it sounded over there. Not really because of the supporters, but because of the clash between us and Samba Gringa. Supposedly it sounded horrible because they could hear both groups clearly and with the difference in beats and just different kinds of sounds going on it just sounded like a bunch of annoying noise. After a while they just tuned us out because it was getting too irritating.
Does anyone else know anyone who has experienced this who sits on the west side? I don’t want people to tune us out, that defeats the purpose of cheering and trying to get everyone else involved. So is there possibly a way that we could coordinate something with them in the future or would they not be interested in anything like this? __________________

We sat on the west side last week and I have to say we weren't distracted by it at all. The groups were far enough apart and the sound was distinct for each group. The Loyalists/RCB area drumming was accompanied by chants and the Samba group played, well, samba, and they're different enough that it was no problem.
Others obviously feel differently. I'm not sure how you coordinate with a samba group that just plays the samba beat over and over. But it would be good to let them know that we appreciate what they do and might be able to coordinate a stadium-wide chant or song with them. __________________

Screw 'em. Tell them to make some noise of their own so they're not "bothered" by the East side. Some people will complain about anything. I wouldn't give it a second thought.

I slightly agree here, we can't coordinate with EVERYONE making noise in the stadium. So let people complain, it happens sometimes.

It's fine, I'm just joking with ya.
They actually used to stand with the Loyalists, but for reasons I don't feel like going into here they moved, so it's not like they don't like making noise. This thread was just an observation and possibly something that could be of concern. __________________

The Samba guys seem to have their own agenda. We hear them pretty well where we are because we're close to them and they're up high. On a rare occasion, we'll time to their beat but they tend to move a little fast.
I bet they would be interested in some sort of coordinated effort. It would be difficult to maintain all game but I bet we could plan something. Of course, that implies they will be the drum section when they participate. There are enough active spots between the sambas and 32/33 that we could probably string something together and if it's simple and recognizable, we could probably get the whole side going.
