Probably for availability, but as a rule the big Mexican teams play their friendlies at Figueroa Tech's stadium for reasons I don't know. My guess is the City of LA has a deal to host these games.

Also the X-Games were in the Toolbox this weekend. Rather than rush to get the field back inshape by Wednesday I bet they decided to host the doubleheader at the Colosium and get some serious attendance numbers.

So they just wanted a new experience for the Goats Lite players then.

Chivas is in a fantasy world. The stats showed L.A. clearly created all the chances.

Against RSL, the numbers show the same thing. RSL dominated the game.

Yet both times Chivas insisted they were the ones creating the opportunities while their opponents poached mistakes.

What's worse, they're getting away with this revisionist history with the help of the MLS writers.

The Rose Bowl's neighbors in Pasadena have a bigtime NIMBY problem. They would freak out of 88,000 people went there on a work night. Lots of Goats 1.0 & Zopilote fans can walk or *gasp* take the bus to the Mausoleum.

Also, the LA Mausoleum was going to sue or did sue the USSF. The USSF did not sanction some MFL or Tri match and the Mausoleum has lost business to the Home Depot Center.

I don't remember the exact circumstances, but I remember that there was a Comedy Gold quote from the Mausoleum's manager, saying that there are no security problems there.......

This is probably some kind of compromise between SUM, the USSF, MLS and the Coliseum Commission.
