Mr. and Mrs. Rover got a victory as an anniversary present on Saturday, if that meets the requirement.

Is everybody ready to watch RSL give the Revolution a beat down tonight? :bash:

This would be a great game to get are first road win of the year, also we would only be 2-points behind the Rapids.

Whats really great is that the Craps next game is against the #1 (gosh) Quakes.
So chances are that if RSL does beat the Revs tonight (pray) then RSL might actually start catching up with the Craps as opposed to maintaining the status quo.

I personally will not be going due to personal needs at home. However, I would have to support the Lumpy's proposition, at least every other time because I feel it's important to support the sponsors that support RSL. Iggy's has been good to us, but they aren't sponsor's of RSL. We need to show businesses in the valley that it makes sense to sponsor RSL.

If we pull off a win tonight against the Revs we will pull with in 2-points of the Rapids, and on Saturday we could jump a point ahead of them after we beat the Wizards. Chances are the Rapids won't beat the Earthquakes, which would be great for RSL!

Just curious here, but how exactly does Lumpy's support RSL and Iggy's does not?
Iggy's has provided a great venue for RSL fans to watch all the away games, especially when places (cough cough Skybox) blew us off.

Good question.

Iggy's supports the fans of RSL, but not the team directly. Lumpy's has evidently made an arrangement with RSL (likely involving financial remuneration) to become the official "watch-party place" or whatever. Lumpy's, as a business, is attempting to promote itself by pouring marketing dollars into RSL. In order for Lumpy's to determine success in this endeavor, and to continue to do so - and provide an example of a succussful business partnership with RSL - it needs to make money directly attributed to this marketing effort. If RSL fans don't support Lumpy's in this effort, it will likely cease to pour money into it, and will send a message that doing business with RSL doesn't necessarily equate to generating profits. That's a message we DON'T want to have pinned to RSL. Therefore, support companies that support RSL and MLS.

If MLS/RSL was going gangbusters right now, it wouldn't matter as much. But it's not, so we need to help it make money if we want it to stick around. That's my opinion.

Additionally, from what I understand, we didn't support SkyBox because they really sucked it up from the beginning. I gather that Lumpy's is not that way at all - which should remove any objections to supporting Lumpy's in their quest to support RSL.

Has Lumpy's actually put marketing dollars into RSL already, or is this a "trial run" sort of a thing?

I've only heard ads for the Skybox at the matches, so I'm curious as to what the arrangement is.
