I do like the guitar though.

ill do that.

i used to be that angry punk kid that listened only to hard rock and underground punk. guess things change once you get out of high school and realize the world is bigger than the 30 mile valley you live in. i think its good to have a wide range of tastes like music. it really opens yourself to things and im glad i changed from a very single minded point of view.

i will not listen to country though, that crap is waaaaayyyyyyy to depressing and redneck for me. something about everything having to do with yer ford, sister, and broken heart that doesnt do it for me. all well, to each his own i guess.

Soundgarden > Audioslave > Rage

...but I like(d) 'em all. Superunknown one of my top 5 faves of all time, for sure.

Zack de La Rocha is hispanic (from Mexico). His mother is an Anthropology Ph.D. (from UC-Irvine) Zack's activism even led him as far as testifying in front of the UN. Tom Morello is the nephew of Jomo Kenyatta, the first Kenyan president and is a Harvard-educated political science major. I think they both know a thing or two about politics and selling CDs was only a way to distribute their message. In fact De La Rocha did not consider his albums successes unless they resulted in tangible political change.

As pointed out, you are not even close to right here. And don't discount something that someone says or the good they try to accomplish because they are selling cds or wealthy or white or anything else. Listen to the message instead.

Of course if the listeners disagrees with the message, that still wouldn't help very much. :headspin:

Sure! So tell me "I don't agree with what they say" instead of "they are wealthy white hippies."

In fact I never even said I agree with what they say. I do agree with a lot of it, not all, but a lot. But just don't automatically discard the message because of race/occupation/etc.

Well said.

Now back on topic and back to the wise words of 50 cent "Oh well, let's go to the park and pick up some poop."

Yeah sorry. Does anyone else like Kanye West? I think he has a really cool approach, it's different.
