Doh!

lol, crap happens!

BTW, I've been hearing for a while that Leighton would likely be on his way out, should Real need the roster spot.

Since Thow is part of the evil and all-knowing Media, I think we should accept his word as gospel.

Bye Bye Mr. O'Brien!

That is the lone saving grace of the Fairpark bid....mmmm...Red Iguana.

I would be much more interested in the Fairpark idea if they were actually talking about moving forward the timetable on the TRAX line. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that line isn't scheduled for completion until 2015. Which means if they built the stadium in 2007, everything around the Fairpark would be under construction like 5 years after they open the stadium...making access to the stadium all but impossible for a solid year if not 2.

Not really news, but I'll post it here anyway.

Surprisingly upbeat, considering the direction he could have gone.

And he's right about that Columbus game--that was one I had circled on the schedule as a breakthrough opportunity. Unfortunately, we tanked that one and its been a struggle ever since.

Still, cheetos will have trouble winning any game left on their schedule and the CRapids continue their longstanding tradition of shooting themselves in the foot. They lost last night, and are only five points ahead of us, we have a game in hand, and we still play them three more times.

Of course, all that means nothing if we don't start winning games.

Good points!! I hadn't thought of the TRAX completion timetable. I had just assumed it would be ready at the same time. I hope people keep that in mind when considering the crappy fairpark as the place to be!

I think that everyone (including the Evil Politicians) who wants Fairpark over the other options are only saying that because its already owned by the state. Thus it reduces cost and the potential tax payer burden.
Period.

Tell me I am wrong! (well, and explain why I am wrong would be nice).

I don't know anymore.

The Fairpark idea would be easier to swallow if they also had some master plan to overhall the entire area and make it more inviting.

I use to like the idea of the Fairpark but I think maybe it sucks now. No politician is talking about any other incentives out there other than it would help the State Fair.

What about bringing more life to that area? They haven't mentioned that at all.
