I don't think that we will miss Pope because the game on the 26th has been moved. Unless they leave really early and he misses the game on the 20th. But I don't think that MLS would take all of these players from their club before that game for an exhibition game. I don't think that this will affect us much at all. We don't even have a game until the 31st so Pope will have plenty of time to rest up and be ready.

However, the USMNT takes on Trinidad on Aug. 17
Then RSL has a home game against the Quakes on Aug. 20. and away game at DC on Aug.31
Then the USMNT takes on Mexico on Sept. 3
and then Guatemala on Sept. 7.

Thats still a lot of games for Mr. Pope. 6 in >three weeks?

Yes, that is a lot of games. And we may lost him to NT duty, but I don't think we will lose him because of the Real Madrid game.

My hope was that Arena would allow Pope to set out the Trinidad game so that he could play for RSL against Quakes and DC.
But there is 0% chance of that if Pope makes the All-Star game in Spain.

So give us the bottom line here. What games will Pope likely be with RSL for for the rest of the season:

FC Dallas (7/23)?
DC United (7/28) - Was this one moved?
Chivas (8/6)?
Revolution (8/10)?
Wizards (8/13)?
Earthquakes (8/20) - I'm assuming yes on this one due to cautions during Nat play.
Revolution (9/3)?
FC Dallas (9/18)?
Rapids (9/21)?
Columbus (9/24)?
Rapids (10/1)?
DC United (10/5)?
Earthquakes (10/8)?
Rapids (10/12)?

And then, of course, the play-offs. 😉
