Supporters Groups

I admit, I'm still a soccer noob. I'd like to know more about some of the great supporters groups out there and what makes them great. Maybe by discussing some of this we can get some ideas about what we might want to do as Loyalists (with Glen's consent of course). Mainly, those of you in the know, tell me about supporters groups you've witnessed or have belonged to and what you liked about those groups.

I should mention I'm talking about groups that have been around for a while and have established traditions.

Here's an article on some Portuguese supporters groups:

They like to steal each other's flags...hmm.

Arsenal's the only club I have much experience with, but they don't have a "supporters group" in the sense it seems to have been adapted in the U.S.

There are a number of individual supporters clubs, but many of them tend to be based on geography and work on things like getting tickets or away travel.

The established tradition among fans at the Library generally consists of going to the pub before, singing during the match every once in a while, moaning about the idiots behind you or whatever, and going to another pub afterward.

A group called RedAction started up two seasons ago to kind of try and get people to wear their colors and introduce new songs, but a lot of people just called them names I probably shouldn't repeat here and kept on doing their same old thing.

The Liverpool groups showed me how cool supporters can be.
During their CL home match they all sang the You'll Never Walk Alone song and ESPN very cooly showed the whole presentation.
I think it was in memory of 85 CL mess, but it was very cool.
