I think it's safe to say that most of us, especially with ties to Britain, have been busy contacting friends and grasping for information.

My prayers are with the people of London, England, and the UK and all those affected by this attack. They're a tough lot, and they've been through these kinds of things before. They deserve whatever support we can give them.

My company's service in Europe for Vodafone is all tied up due to the amount of traffic on their system right now. If you can't get your friends on the Internet, it's most likely due to the system being overloaded. I will definely keep the U.K. in my thoughts and prayers this day, week, and month.

I sincerely hope that people will see this act for what it is and know that terrorism is a real threat no matter whether they agree with Bush or not.

Maybe MLS players could wear Union Jack T Shirts under their jerseys?

Then, when they score, they could take their jersey off and everyone could see that we are all Londoners now.

When the Honor Guard brings out the flag before the games this Saturday, they should also bring a British flag. I'd be down with standing for a couple of extra minutes to play "God Save The Queen".

I only know one Londoner and thankfully she is safe and sound, but I've just been horrified all day about this.

As awful as this act is, I still think it is a much more complex issue than "These people hate freedom" or "They are evil." Nevertheless, anyone who decides to kill innocent people has gone wrong, regardless of how complex an issue it may be.

Stay strong, Brits! To change a phrase from Le Monde... "Today we are all Londoners."

It's devastating that it happened. I'm so greatful that it wasn't near as bad a loss as 9/11. I just don't understand what the terrorists hope to gain by killing off innocent people, along with their own. To me, it just makes them look even more desperate than they already are for ultimate power.

I hope that made sense. Anyhow, apparently they didn't learn the first time that you can't keep a good nation down. It only makes us stronger, and more determined to wipe them out, if they keep it up.

OK, I posted, now maybe they'll stop hating us.

Seriously, I too am terribley frustrated and angered by these senseless acts of violence and share in the sorrow brought about by the loss and suffering of my brothers and sisters throughout the world, whether caused by incidents like this, or by other, more "natural" causes.
But, I refuse to take responsibility for "why people hate us". They hate us because they have decided to hate us. They hate us because they have been taught to hate us by powermongers who gain absolute control and wealth beyond imagination by creating a smokescreen and redirecting people's frustrations, pointing the blame toward a perceived enemy. There is nothing we can do or say to change that, as everything they believe is based on the same lies and misinformation they'll be fed regardless of our actions.

There are so many parallels in life . . .

There, now I've confused you too. 😉

I finally got in contact with my last friend just a little while ago. Everyone is safe. Thank God.

My prayers are still with everyone else who was hurt by this.
