The CRapids drew 41,987 in Denver.

Okay, if they can pull that off, then we are surely not doing something right. Only 20,000? The Stingers still drew 15,500. 30,000 to 40,000 at Sugar House. What could be done differently to get a bigger crowd? Am I the only one that is dissapointed in the size of the crowd (BTW the crowd that was there was the best all year IMO)?

The Crapids have been doing their July 4th game for many years. Traditions take time to build, even in Denver. 😉
Besides, if you look at their attendance so far this season, its apparent they are lying about the numbers or ppl only go the July 4th game.

👍

I'm just a little disappointed at the attendance. I was hoping they would have to open it up past the 25K sellout mark. But 20K isn't shabby. I'm afraid that the poor performances in the past have influenced it. But also, it is not like it is the only fireworks available. I saw the Stadium of Fire on Saturday, which is even better, but these fireworks were very good. Other than the wait for the emergency, which couldn't have been avoided, it was a very good fireworks show.
