I would rather see Trembly start over Chris Brown then Tiger. Mathis played a good game last night. This is about where i thought are team would be, i still think we will make the playoffs.

No, I think I like Trembly as a sub, a little burst of energy when we need it (many on here think the same about Watson).

BTW. Am I the only one who didn't think Mathis did that great last night (I know, and coming from me πŸ˜› )? Yes, he had his moments, but there were more times when I was saying to myself, "What do you think you're doing?"

No, you're not. He usually has excellent "field vision" -- almost like eyes behind his head sometimes -- but this game he was just off in his passing. The Metros defenders were often easily able to anticipate and intercept his passes.

I suppose that could be that he used to play with them. I loved the way he was actually playing defense last night. I wouldn't label him MOTM, but I was encouraged by what I saw from him last night.

Also, the one big thing that I think we really need to improve on is marking when the opposing team is sending in crosses. Killed us at SJ, and would have killed us last night if the passes had been better. People are running into the box WIDE open, while we have 2 defenders marking one guy.

100% agreement there. I love to see Tiger. He takes the ball right through the opponents. But on the other hand, someone remarked that he seems to take the path of maximum resistance, so maybe he wouldn't have to work so hard. It's fun to watch, however. πŸ˜†

I also agree about marking the opposing attackers. Most of the time, they're doing better, but several times each game they seem to just lose track of the whole thing and the opposing forwards just can't believe their luck!
Gotta fix that! 😲

I like Tiger's desire to push the ball forward, but I am not sure I would like to see him start. He is too much of a defensive liability for my tastes. He does get back most of the time, but other times it just seems like he forgets he has defensive responsibilities. Cleetus certainly tried harder last night and he was trying to put the ball in dangerous places, but he needs to find his touch. I hope he finds it soon b/c when he does we can certainly be a dangerous team up front with Andy working hard and Clint feeding Kreis and Watson up top...
