Yes.

I suggest we officially vote Czar Jake into the presidency of the club as "Official Crapids Hater." He'll be in charge of:

(a) Thinking of witty taunts against the Crapids as a team,
(b) Digging up dirt about the players that we can tastefully mention as appropriate, (As we've mentioned elsewhere, keeping it PG or PG13)
(c) Safeguarding the Whatever Trophy until we're clearly going to win it.

Just kidding about all that. But I'd be happy to help. Interesting how the BigSoccer posters pinpointed Jake as somebody "official" from SLC! We should make this a point of discussion in another scheduled Loyalists chat, or something like that.

❗

Here is a link to the BS thread:

That will get you all up to speed on what's already been said there.

Any other comments on this end?

Rocky Mtn Derby?

Hi all, I'm the Rapids supporter (Don't hurt me!) that's kind of taken charge of this idea from the Rapids side. If any of you read Rapidsfan.com I'm the "View From the Couch" guy. We're a little disorganized over at BigSoccer since we don't have an organized supporters group, so I just decided to take the idea and run with it. I'm working on getting a core group of 3-4 Rapids fans to work with the couple of people you've identified as the central organizing group for this idea. I've got one other person for sure, and I've got 1-2 others I'm going to ask.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi. Hope you won't feel too bad about spending money on a competition you'll never win! 😉

Ok so we have been able to find some Rapid fans to help us plan this derby.
Right now we need 3-4 volunteers to help plan this derby. Any takers?

Here the email I got from Jason, their derby leader:

Hi Ethan, good to hear from you. Here's where the organizing group
site now:

4 Rapids fans have agreed to represent the Rapids fans in this group
their BigSoccer ID's are, JasonMa(me), GoRapids, billfish, and Malaga
CF Fan. We've got an email (cup [at] wafflestomp.com) that redirects to
everyone in that group, plus Greenie who's agreed to handle the IT for
the organizing group (the email address, space for website for the
competition etc). I'm waiting to hear from Czar Pazzo (Or any of the
RSL fans that are going to be involved) as to who's going to represent
you guys in the organizing group. We'll put your emails on the list
that the email redirects to. Once we have that group of 3-4 RSL fans
added we can start working out the details of the comptition. I would
ike to be able to make some sort of announcement to the fans on both
sides that there is a group working on the competition before everyone
splits for the Thanksgiving holiday.

what needs to be done? then i could tell you if i could help or not.

maybe i'll sculpt a trophy we can make a bronze cast out of. I was thinking a trophy with a Real Salt Lake player standing over a freshly dug grave for the Crapids.

A organizing committee has been formed with 5 Loyalists and 5 Rapid fans.
Right now we are setting up a website so we can have a central place to have ppl vote on name and type of trophy.
