Glenn told me last night that they couldn't announce it right away because Broome was at a cabin in Colorado with no phone service for a couple days, so they didn't want him to find out about it from a news article. :D

Funny that Broome doesn't play sweeper. (grooooan)

Oh, and Jose is right...

Broome will play left back and Kamler will move back to the left midfield. (Although he did a pretty good job, all things considered...)

Kamler, IMHO, is the man of the year so far. He's been very consistant, makes very few mistakes and plays well, where he is asked to play.

We haven't seen Broome play much in the last few years. He seemed to take a back seat to Marshall and the newer signings (Umhu, Chinchilla).
He also seemed to fall out of favor with Sampson to say the least.

He has been in the league 6 years though. So hopefully this is a quality pickup.

Can we expect to see Broome in the line-up on the 4th then? I have heard the name and certainly seen him play before. He didn't make a huge impression on me though. It will be nice to have a bit more experience in the defense though. Good move RSL.

After all that drama yesterday, I expected us to be getting Ashley Cole. Or at the very least, some up-and-coming Brazilian.

Broome's not a bad choice though.

That would be a really bad way to learn about a trade. Walk back into the office after a weekend away and they say, "What're you doing here? Get on up to SLC, where you belong!"
