Meetings...

What do you want to do at the meetings?

For each of the meetings I have asked for suggested agenda items.

What would you like to discuss or have answered that could happen in the course of an evening?

A list, please.

Of course I'll ignore it. At least until Monday. I'm off now and won't be back until at least Monday. But I may show up on your doorstep.

I'll take the LL at his word and make up a list of possible "agenda items."

But not tonight. I have bigger fish to fry and 20 minutes to do it in.

I do appreciate you taking pictures for the games. But if you could choose your fav pic and ask me to place it on the website as opposed to just sending me a link to 100 or so pictures, it would be easier for me.
Yes, I am busy and not the best webmaster in the world (I am sure many will agree) but I want to help. If any of you want something specific on the website AND the file isn't huge, I promise to make every effort to get it on there.

Does that make sense? Does anyone have any Loyalist website specific comments? Thanks Jules for starting this thread.

On a different note... one we can borrow from the Brothers Enger...
They paint there faces, some other guys paint there entire upper bodies...

Why don't the Loyalists paint as well.. I see Jim does sometimes and alot of kids do...

I say we show a united front and everyone get painted up to some degree.

Decide on a color and then maybe alternate at different matches...

I used to wear that silly stars and stripes Top Hat and Combat Boots w/ shorts ugh!
I sometimes, well actually alot of times, wish I could do that stuff down on the field, but alas there are rules and I am not going to ruin a good thing.

I will be with you all in spirit as I am for each match already. And I can assure you... the more out of the ordinary the more likely it is that you will get attention... and the more attention we get the faster the word spreads about us all, Loyalist and RCB alike.

Someone see if we can get Arelius and fiance either back in the fold or at the very least get his bull horn and drum. borrow of course.
If he cannot be in there with us we need someone to step up and fill his rather loud, but very missed shoes.

👍 What we have, so far:

Suggestions, thus far:

MontGJules:
I think that some rules of operation would help the Loyalists a lot. For example, how do we "elect" leaders in the future? I think that Glenn is doing a fabulous job and I'll vote for him again next year, but we should have at least two candidates for the major positions so people can really voice their opinions and make sure the Loyalists belong to everybody and not just a few.

Aerick:
1- Another drummer. (I hear Aurelius used to fill that roll)
2- Some one or more than one person to try and get the rest of the crowd involved more.
3- A hymn or anthem.
4. Spread the responsibilities around a bit more - that would be a great idea!
5. Someone in charge of chants/songs etc. would be good
6. The Cup has does a tremendous job with flags, perhaps he should have some sort of official responsibility or title, like "flag guy" or something.
7. Do we have an official "coat of arms" or symbol or spread other than the normal Loyalist crown? If not, and if that's something we would want, perhaps he could help design it. Just a thought.
8. I nominate you (MrStucki) to be an official cheer/song leader/maker guy.

DadOf8:
1. I think we need to recruit more members. I'd like to see nothing but crimson and flags from row 1 to row infinity in section 32.
2. I sometimes don't get word on when special Loyalist activities are. I admit I can't attend most of them, but I would still like to know when they are in case I can attend.
3. We need to figure out a way to get the rest of RES involved in the cheers.
4. Would the F.O. be willing to give us tickets to bring a neighbor to the game? (for recruitment).

mrstucki:
1. I'm woking on a drum. If I find a good tune, I will write lyrics for an RSL hymn.
2. We could probably use official cheer/song leaders.
3. Oh and more meetings.
4. Didn't Team Gear offer to host our meetings?
5. Maybe we should still have a monthly meeting during the season.

Deuce:
1. I know that one of the brothers Enger had volunteered to run back and forth in the north end to stir them up...
2. I suggested way back in the day that we all show up early to have meetings before the away matches at Iggy's but that idea was shot down... (second & third by DadOf8 and Aerick)
3. Why don't the Loyalists paint as well.. (Jim only did on the WCQ 😉 )
4. I say we show a united front and everyone get painted up to some degree. Decide on a color and then maybe alternate at different matches...

SoccerPrime:
1. I do appreciate you taking pictures for the games. But if you could choose your fav pic and ask me to place it on the website as opposed to just sending me a link to 100 or so pictures, it would be easier for me.

4. Thanks Jules for starting this thread.

Jim Umber:
1. Maybe it's time to reinstate the Pic of the Week. Then that could be submitted for inclusion on the website.
2. I only painted myself for the WCQ game. Special occasion. I have, however, had the face paints for every game and am willing to apply them, as long as we don't get too fancy.
3. I can also get more Temporary Tattoos, if people liked them. I will have to have the money from the Loyalists (last time I spent my own, but this time I don't have any to spend). We can even have them made up professionally (rather than printed on a home printer) They would look better and be a lot cheaper per tattoo, but you have to order several thousand. (It costs about $80 dollars for the minumum order, but they are very cheap that way).

Also, the following people offered their services for future use:
Deuce
HibaIssa
luvmyboys
Jim Umber (to paint faces and help get the tattoos)

I volunteer myself to handle putting vodoo hexes on the visiting team's players.

I don't have a problem cooking, but I think we should continue to have only 1 person purchasing, otherwise I think we'll end up with too much of one thing and not enough. Also, I don't want to be late into the game because I'm stuck cleaning up. Here are my suggestions for tailgating:

1) Plan to have everything cleaned up, put away and heading to the stadium 45 mins prior to game. Nothing worse than being late to your seat because the line at the gate was long.
2) Have 1 person bring food and such.
3) Have people designated to clean up before game day.

Just my $.02, but I have no problem cooking. I enjoyed it at the WCQ.

I enjoyed helping out too. We had about 5 people helping with the clean up, so it went quickly.

Well, I'll keep making flags, no problem there. I still have a bunch of ideas, its just finding the time to do them. I should have a 4th one done though for the July 4th game.

But everyone can still make flags too. Aero made a nice new one a couple of games ago, the tatoo guy's flag is sweet, and someone even had a new little one for their kid this last game.

Suggestions

The only one I can think of is I think we need something like a business card or a post card kind of a thing that would invite people to come back once they have stood with us for a game. There are always a few new people that come over durring the game to check us out but I don't notice them there the next game. We need to let them know they are welcome in our group and give them some info on signing up. Also give them the web addresses to the Loyalists and the Forums here.

Eventually, once our numbers grow even bigger, we may need to think about getting one person in charge of the chants so we are all singing together and on the same page. Something like this (notice the guy standing on the fence in front of the crowd)

Chicago has a guy standing in front of Section 8 leading their cheers too.
