We're the only fans who cared enough to really TRY to win it as a group. Our sense of group effort proves that we really are the best fans in MLS. Nobody else even tried to get fancy in voting. Nothing says we can't automate our enthusiasm. We didn't cheat. We got fancy. It just proves what we were voting for in the first place: we're the best and the most dedicated fans.

Ya gotta spin it the right way, folks. This is, in my opinion, much less embarrassing than the big photo of us throwing black streamers to "support" our team. I'm just glad that I'm not there on the front row where I would have been if I hadn't moved.

If others find out, they will just be jealous that they didn't think of it first. :p

This reminds me of two sayings:

"If you're not cheating, you're not trying."

and

"It's only cheating if you get caught."

I'm ambivelent on the matter.

Are you honest in your dealings with your fellowmen?

OK The fact that it was automated voting was not the point that I was trying to make...

It is the perception that the loyalists cheat.
Spin it how you like... call it RCB-gate for all I care...
perception will be that the Loyalists cheat... mark my words...

I disagree, but more importantly: Who cares if the Loyalists cheat on an online poll? Call the newspapers! Hot off the press! Somebody stuffed an online vote!! YIPES!!

Nobody cares except us.

Actually, what if it does reach scandalous proportions? Will this really hurt the Loyalists? We might actually get more people finding out about the Loyalists and joining our ranks due to the increased media coverage. I don't really think it's a scandal. It would be a scandal if there were safeguards in place to ensure that repeat votes don't occur and this was somehow circumvented. The only safeguard in place was MLSNET checking for cookies. Any kindergarten hacker knows how to defeat that.
