Okay, I have had a very nice set of communications with a number of participants in this thread privately. Most of you have questions that you just want answered. Some of you hate me or something you think I represent.

Most of the questions you are asking do not have authoritative answers right now. But I think that you can rest assured that the moment they do, everyone here will know via a conspicuous post in this forum.

And that's my final answer Regis.

Yes, I did bring up limiting Loyalist membership or putting some kind of standard in place. That was merely up for discussion. And the reason I did it was because I was hearing about people joining for the sole reason of getting a parking pass or a discount on a car at CarsMart. I just wanted to discuss if those were the type of people we wanted in the Loyalists. I wanted people to actually be loyal to the team and come to stand and cheer for the whole game. But I have since seen the error of my ways and can freely admit that I was wrong.

There is nothing wrong with admitting that you were wrong once you see that you were. In fact, I consider a great character trait when someone can see that they were wrong, admit it, and try to do better in the future.

But once again, this is just another attempt to sidetrack the discussion and get out of answering the questions. Why is it so difficult to answer the questions? You have continued to sidestep them and try to change the topic in every single post.

Why would neils hands be tied on this? We never asked for the forum it just showed up...that is all...if it is causing such a problem...We asked neil to take it down...i don't think this causes his hands to be tied

It's not really an answer at all. Are you really telling me that you have absolutely no idea why the RCB was formed or what it is supposed to stand for? I'm not sure there is a person on these forums that really believes that. But I guess if that is your final answer, you probably won't win the million dollars. 😉

If you don't even have an answer to why you created this group why are you so hostile towards those who are wondering what all the fuss is about?

And as I've said before, forum or no forum, the problem still exists. I'm not sure why you continue referring to the forum like it is the culprit while doing everyting in your power to avoid the real problem.

And I'm sure by now you guys all think that I'm a big jerk. But honestly, I only want to get this thing settled so we can all go back to what we really want to be doing, cheering on the team as a one big happy family. I have nothing personal against any of you guys, even you Ska, but I just think that this whole thing is bad for the forums and the group so I would like to see it solved. Is that really too much to ask for?

We had a secret society at my high school and whenever you asked them anything about it, they would be very evasive and sometimes hostile about it. You could only join by invitation. If someone wants a secret society, let them have it. I think my energy is better utilized cleaning my house, making meals for my family, and discussing soccer when I have a spare moment.

GO RSL!!!! I LOVE YOU CLETUS!!!!!

I don't think you're a jerk, you're just making valid points and I wanted you to know you're not alone in this.

It sounds to me that Ska and the guys may have a difference of opinion with other Loyalists on what a supporters group should be, but aren't necessarily in the situation where they want to "break" from the group and start their own. If anything, it sounds like RCB is just the beginning of an idea, or even a stipulation of a philosophy within the larger Loyalists group. However, the larger take home message here is that they haven't even come to a concensus on what they want RCB to be, therefore, any response they give right now may end up being incorrect. And heaven knows, if you post something on this forum that's incorrect, it may come back to bite you.

It may have started as something negative, hence some of the suspicious postings by hardcore Loyalists such as Aero. The whole "communists" stuff, even if taken out of context, probably wasn't the best way to start things off. But it sounds like Ska and the guys want to start this off on a different note - genuinely. As a loyal Loyalist (one who wants to remain a Loyalist through and through), I say we back off until they decide what they want, if anything, and let us know officially.

My hope is that it isn't anything that causes contention or disunity among we as supporters of RSL.

A voice of reason?

I must be tired, because that all seemed level-headed and rational. Time to go to bed. (Oh and everyone rep Aerick for that.)
