I mentioned these two songs at the meeting the other night and said they were on this thread... they were on a different thread... sorry...

but now they are here!

The elvis tune... "little less conversation" that featured in the Nike WC 2002 adverts.

Also have the tune "sirius" by Alan Parsons Project that they play at all the Jazz games.

I have them on mp3 if you want them.
Along with an entire 2 albums and several extended singles by sultans of ping f.c. if anyone liked that other song and were curious about other ping stuff!

So last night I went home and sang the Sponge Bob "ReAL Salt Lake" song to the kids. Within 30 seconds my 3 and 5 year olds were belting out the "ReAl Salt Lake" portion. :D Hysterical...(made even funnier that my wife HATES sponge bob and it put that song in her brain for the rest of the night...ok...short term it was funny...long term it felt "cold" 🙁 )

But the point is that the kids in the stand will just go nuts with that song...

Yeah I may have accidentally created a frankenstein there. I think spongebob cartoons are hilarious but I'm not so sure making up the RSL version won't come back to haunt me.

The sirius song has potential especialy if some people sing Real salt lake, Real salt lake, Real Salt Lake Real Salt Lake with the moving part, then other people sing "AH" for the bass part

Somewhere there is a guy that lives with the memory of living high off of royalty checks earned by his huge international hit Macarena. No matter how hard you fall, Jake, you won't hit rock bottom. You'll land on that guy maybe, but not lower.

Spongebob is warming up to me.
Yard of Grass is a keeper! At least the opening. Later in the tune the lyrics are pretty busy to get/keep coordinated.

Maybe I'll live to regret this too:

The other day I heard that song "Rock Me Amadeus" and started singing along but changed the word "Amadeus" to "ClintaMathis" it was funny. If you know the song, you should understand how it would go.

ClintaMathis ClintaMATHis
ClintaMATHis

etc.

I like it. Soon as I read your post Jake, I started humming it. This along with my new desktop image (courtesy of Deuce) will completely convince my wife I have gone insane. Oh well. 🙂

He was a Soccerstar
He was so popular
He was exalted 'cause
He had a lot of flair...

Ja come on and rock me Amadeus, errr...ClintaMathis...

I could have my dad put together a whole version from the original German. I love this song!

I was once asked to come up with a chant or a song in Italian. I just came up with this off the top of my head:

Vinceremo, vincerà,
vincerà il lago salato!

To the tune of "Urlando contro cielo" which I will hopefully post later on this evening. It's simple so everyone could get it, and "lago salato" I believe is close to the spanish "lago salado" (am I right?) which means lots of people would understand at least that part. It just says:

We will win, it will win,
it will win the salt lake!

(this doesn't make sense in English but "it" refers to Salt Lake... just believe me it makes sense in Italian haha)

If you have a quick enough connection, here is a video which is great:

Sampdoria tifo section

I had some trouble getting the link to work earlier today, but now it seems to be working. If it doesn't work, try it again later. Really cool chant.
