What's up with Marlon Rojas not being listed as a sub?

Maybe there's something to that Cabrera rumor.

The Loyalists Section

The Loyalist Section was the loudest and the clearest I have ever heard you, for the first 16 minutes (Pregame with the last names worked really well, and others joined in) The Galaxy goal seemed to deflate you, but still sounded good. The fans behind the north goal got into the game, and they started chanting after Eddie made that great sliding tackle on Landycakes. Great game overall, and a good atmosphere.

I think Watson has earned himself a starting job. I'd still like to see Clint in the Rotation. How about Brown, Watson, and Mathis as forwards? I think we did awesome on defense tonight for a change. Having Eddie Pope in the game makes a big difference. He gave Landon some real headaches. I'd have to say it's a tie for MOTM, Jaime Watson and Eddie Pope. But, if I can only vote for one, I'll go with Watson. I wonder if this will light a fire under Mathis.

AHHH...I forgot about MOTM....how am I ever gonna choose between those two. Honestly, I couldn't say enough about Eddie tonight. He was amazing. But Watson broke the dreaded curse....this is the toughest one so far for me!

Eddie kept it at a tie, but................................................................

Watson ended the streak! Easy choice!

Great game, great atmosphere. There were 3 guys at the north endzone who were wearing bags until we scored. Priceless, I thought that it was hilarious.

Black streamers were a great idea. Maybe 50-75 streamers total. Silence for a minute. Then raging unbridled yelling!!!

Second to last caller on the post-game show mentioned the black streamers and Checketts jr. said something along the lines of, "whatever, this is America, but for people who call themselves 'Loyalists', that's an interesting way to show your support." I don't know what to make of that comment. He kept trying to steer clear of talking about the record, and it almost sounded like he was getting frustrated because it was being brought up. I don't know, I guess that I'd be embarrassed too.

Another caller ripped Mathis. Checketts tried to stick up for him. As far as I am concerned, based on what he has shown me this season, Mathis is old news. Maybe he can be subbed in near the end of the game, similar to how Grandpa Coby was subbed in tonight. He doesn't seem to care. I would love, boy, would I love for him to prove me wrong...but what he did in the world cup for the national team does nothing for me now, baby.

15100+ at the game. Not bad for a losing team that set the record for futility . Oh by the way it's on a WEDNESDAY! Sheesh, I thought that was pretty good.

Watson was pretty dang good. Impressive in his starting debut...we seemed to be pushing all night long, rarely were we playing defensively. The goal against us was I think a fluke.

DJ Countess gave his keeper gloves to Alianza and me. Rock on.

This may be my longest post on any board. Yeehaw!

Okay, so besides the, I mean THE goal, my favorite moment of the match was when, a couple of minutes after Cobi had subbed in, my nine year old niece leaned over and asked, "Is there a woman playing for LA?"

Yes, actually, there are at least three. Cobi, Landy, and whoever #29 was. :D

Jamie Watson Quotes from Tonights Match
Quote:

On his first start of the season:

“The whole day I was so calm I was running errands, going grocery shopping and it was my dad’s birthday today and this is going to be the best birthday gift for him. It was an unbelievable night.”

On his first goal of the year:

“The goal happened so quick. I was so excited I didn’t know what to do after I scored, I had no celebration planned. Coach Mellor told me to make the most of my opportunity so I ran over and gave him a hug after the goal.”
