I think we need some timeline goals.

Loyalists, April is not that far off. We will be witnessing RSL in all of its power before we know it.

I'm very impressed that we already have a name, a bank account, a solid core group of supporters, and two websites. (I'm so far behind the times, building two websites from scratch to me would be like a caveman trying to drive a car.)

But, I think we need a plan due to we only have about four months until opening day. Chicago fans have already come up with new scarves for 2005. http://www.section8chicago.com/merchandise2005.html

We can forget about December. We are all so busy with Christmas and New Years that this month is already shot.

I think though by the end of January we need something done. We need either T-shirts or scarves designed and done.

By the end of February I think we need whatever we didn't get done in January, done. A progress report on flags and banners would be nice too.

And then by the end of March, we need to have a few songs or cheers done and maybe even practiced a couple of times. Flags and banners could be displayed at the same time so we would know how things are going to look.

A trip into Rice Eccles Stadium would be nice too at some point so maybe we could get an idea of the size of our area.

What does everyone think? Am I going psycho? I have faith in us, I just want to see if we are all on the same page.

Count Me In!
Whoever picks up the ball and starts to run with it... just give me some tasks and I will either do them or make sure they are done by some one competent!

Also... the website needs a countdown timer to kick off at the home opener...

BIG COUNTDOWN TIMER!!!!

Just so people know where we are and how much time remains... I think people will be shocked at how fast it will go!!!

I'll email Dave and Glenn to make sure they know about this thread. I am sure if one of you guys started to plan a trip to RES for fun, most ppl would follow you.
I would, but the commute might be a little difficult for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

I've been looking through some of the older posts and especially at the one about the paper cards (or whatever they're called) and agree that it would be very important to get into RES and into our section so we know exactly how the seats are arranged and how many across, etc. That way we can plan for the cards. We will also be able to see how much space we'll have for banners, etc.

I also agree we need to get a schedule going and some assignments so that things get done. I'd hate to get to RES for the home openner and just have everyone sitting around going, "Why didn't anybody.......?" or "I thought we were going to.......?".

Oh, we would still have our drums and be noisy, and it would still be fun, but I'd like it to be IMPRESSIVE! I'd like the whole stadium to know we're there. I'd like to get a mention in the press, or even a TV shot of us.

By the way, I can't find the thread that I mentioned them in, but I promised to look into making berets, or other hats. I now have a whole stack of various styles and colors. We need a meeting so we can show them off and see if they go over, or not.

So when's the next meeting?

I think it's about time we scheduled another one. Loyal1?

We maybe could have shirts ready by then? At the meeting we could decide what we want to do April 16 whether it be colored paper, a banner, etc... and then start to work on it. We could try some chants/songs. We could plan get-togethers for away game viewings. We could plan tailgate parties.

Insomma, c'รจ da fare.
Basically, there's stuff to do. Not sure why I felt the need to say that in Italian first. Probably has to do with studying it and speaking it all day at school. :D
