My apologies to you and anyone else for my part in creating a caustic environment. My only desire is for RSL to do well.

I'd say there's no reason for people NOT to express their opinions. There are a hundred different kinds of soccer fans out there, and I'd certainly hate to be compared to either of you! I'd CERTAINLY pale in comparison either way. I haven't attended as many things or been as enthusiastic or devoted. That doesn't stop me from loving the game and enjoying it. In fact, not knowing half the rules doesn't stop me from loving it. Not having FSW doesn't stop me from loving it. Not understanding half of what John Parkin or Jose Luis etc. refer to in soccer forums in the past hasn't stopped me from loving it. If anybody wants to kick me out of the supporter's group for being the wrong kind of fan, go for it! I'll still go to the games and love them!

Arelius, don't stop posting your opinions, even if they're contrary to other opinions. Jake, don't stop posting your opinions, even if they're contrary to other opinions. The funny thing is that you were probably both sitting in the BYU library within 100 feet of each other. You could have handled it the manly way and just punched each other and been done. 😉 (Just kidding, you weren't fighting.)

My point is, moderator, that this thread is all about being wild crazy supporters. That includes all kinds of people and all kinds of opinions. Let's keep 'em coming! It makes things more interesting. I don't think RSL will win all of their games next year. They have a lot of disadvantages going into their first season and may not be the powerhouse that they will be in future years. We will remain supportive and excited anyway, I'm sure, and even when they're losing, guess what? I'm just gonna keep lovin' the game!

Full Roma-Madrid report in the off-topic forum.

That "note from mod" was just me. I just wanted to get back to showing what I meant by "Mad support." I don't want anyone kicked out of the supporters club for anything, I just wanted to prove my innocence (my support for the team). I have no hard feelings and if Arelius showed up to my door I would give him hot chocolate. I just wanted to show that I am loyal and passionate about the team. Okay, I think that's all cleared up.

Now then. Deuce do you want the same kind of flag that I made for myself, or should we work together on a big one or something? If anyone wants the checkered flags that I made, I'll make them and just sell them to you for however much it costs me. I do think it would be cool to get a giant flag going, though. What do you think?

The only problem with smoke is if someone's kid coughs for a half of a second, they'll complain. We live in the U.S., and somewhere within the last 100 years the general public has turned into a bunch of crybabies. I'd love it if we can do it, but I just don't see it happening.

Sad but true. Smoke may be out, along with flares (which kills me, they look so cool).

yes, we have all turned into crybabies who can't take any responsibility. just look at our playgrounds. I remember having cool rusty metal sharp slides and even remember an old gutted out aircraft at murray park. now our kids play on plastic playgrounds that might as well be wrapped up in bubble wrap.
THANKS ALOT LAWYERS!!!

Initially I would like one that you described, a small one I can wave around at the matches.
But if you need some monetary support for a larger one I am sure we can come to an agreement!
:D

Now then... Coloured paper, smoke, flags... everything... lets have it all...

too bad about flares... oh well
