June FIFA World Rankings are out

The newest world rankings were released today. The US is now ranked solid at #10, no longer tied with Italy and closing in on Spain.

Check the latest rankings here:

I can't believe Ukraine only moved up 4 to 35. They've been playing well as of late.

There is Peru, Poland, Japan, China, Jordan, France, Iran, and India represented among my coworkers. I'm having a great time gloating about #10 with them (except France - I'll avoid her for a while)

Brazil got beat by Argentina but still ranks higher than Argentina, interesting. I guess I don't know each country's opponents too well, so I should reserve judgement. I also find it interesting that the USA ranks higher than Germany.

This shows how much of a soccer nerd I am....I actually have seen them play. I have also seen many of the OFC teams play. Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, American Samoa, Tonga...I am even planning to go to the Australia/Solomon Islands match in September (it helps that I have work projects in the Solomons of course).

But the Guam/American Samoa thing was meant as a total joke.
