With the way things are going right now, the next goal might be scored against San Jose like 34 of you predicted - on August 20! (Maybe even October 8 😲 )

Really, I think it is just going to take a offensive breakout game by the team - maybe at Chivas July 9? Once they get that confidence, I think this team can get on a roll.

I've been saying all along, and I'm still saying that the team has all the skill it needs to whoop on anyone in the league. They just need to start using it. They're in a slump and something has to bring them out of it.

They need to change their thinking from "Oh here we go again" to "Now we got you!" It would be like night and day. These guys could change around, instantly, and be totally unrecognizeable. Kreis wouldn't be trying to reach a hundred goals, he would be working on his second hundred!

This could happen! It probably WILL happen. But WHEN? That's the question. When will they bust through this self-erected barrier and do what we all KNOW they are capable of doing?

Tell me that the media guys DON'T read these forums:
From today's DesNews-
ENDLINES: If RSL doesn't score in the first 35th minutes, therefore breaking the league record of 536 straight scoreless minutes, the team's official fan club, The Loyalists, plan on throwing black streamers followed by one minute of no cheering. After that, they'll resume chanting and banging on the drums.

I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I just hope the media understands the forums are our areas to vent, but that we'll always support the team.

Man, that first sentence needs a full-time editor all its own!

It is a good thing this got mentioned. I was thinking today that since this match will not be on t.v. the black streamer thing wouldn't get as much notice as it should.

Black streamers...brilliant, if I do say so myself. I truly hope they are not needed. I will have my people who will be at the match bring streamers, 2 sit higher up in E32, 2 sit across the field in the shade towards the center of the field.

James does read the forums. He even has his own login and has been known to post on occasion. I'm sure he checks here everyday to get the pulse on what is going on with the fans.

Yes he goes by Not Pele.
I just thought it was funny that something we only discussed in this forum made it to print.

I just hope the Loyalists don't have to follow thru with this.
Watson scores his second on the 35 minute! Hows that???? πŸ™‚

"have to follow through..."???

Nobody has to do this! I personally think this would be a huge insult to the team and not something that a supporter's club should seriously consider. Please tell me that's a joke.

Why would that be offensive? They know how they have been playing.

I'm not taking part in it, I can tell you that now.
