What was even more amazing is that the Brazilians had two professional players on their team, Jose Pontalti and Alves (I can't remember his first name). Needless to say they were embarrassed quite badly. Also during this game I had a ball kicked into my groin. That was the last time I've played. 🙂

Sorry about the kicked ball, my one red card was during a co-ed game when I 'accidently' *tee hee* kneed a guy. The ref saw through me though.

I played GK until my shoulder had a tendency to pop out of socket three times in 6 months. I played on the right side either mid or defender when we were ahead.

I was Jason Kreis for my AYSL team growing up. I was a goal scoring machine. But my original true love was football, so when I reached high school age, I dropped soccer and made the switch to Defensive Line. Too bad they run soccer and football season at the same time in California, or I might have tried out for the high school team. But then again, I probably would have been afraid to be embarrassed by the players who grew up playing on competitive teams.

I played defensive mid (stopper) for 3 years at Lehi High school. I will play about anything though. In Junior High I was an offensive mid or forward. Before that I played a lot of goalie. When I play indoor I play goalie and defender. Right now at USU I play midfield for intramural teams.

I played on the Yukon Youth Soccer League when I was a wee girl and also three years in high school. Depending on what was called for I was mostly right mid and sometimes right wing.

I was a utility player... once I settled in I played most D-mid or Left half...

However, I started as a keeper... moved to sweeper (cntr Back in a 5-4-1 formation)... then moved to left back... then to left half... then to attacking mid... then to d-mid. I never played up front because I was able to hit frame from 40 yds out but not 5. I was also known for being able to loft balls in quite well to get our forwards chances.

In indoor I almost always played in the goal.

I am really glad that so many of responded to this thread.
It seems like we have enough to field a team, although we do have quite the depth in the defensive department.

I'll put a poll up later so we see how many of each position we have.
