In all seriousness, is there a rule against yelling (or plasting the trumpet) at the opposing player as he's setting up for the corner? I would hate for our team to get in trouble for something that we were doing.
Nobody came over and said anything even after it was done a couple of times so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure if it was a problem, someone would have said something especially when it happened more than once.

I liked how Trumpetman had his trumpet over Armas' head Saturday vs. Chicago. That was a nice touch.

For the 3 seasons the Blizz played at RES the benches were always on the West. MLS wants them on the side opposite the cameras. FIFA says the benches should be on the Principle side of the stadium, which is usually the West side and or South side for Noonish game start tradition areas.

At 4:30 the East side is in full Sun! After a few years of outside work (fish farming or soccer coaching) your eyes do not like looking at the Sun.

Was the touch line closer to the wall on our side because of a wider field or because of the benches being moved?

To answere your question... Yes. From what I understand the field is about a yard and a half to two yards wider and the benches are on the other side.

Team benches moved by US Soccer to accomodate advertisers - not Bruce Arenas

I called Paul Marstaller with Events dept. at US Soccer. He said benches were moved due to advertising concerns.

The ESPN cameras will be on WEST side facing EAST and the sponsors wanted un-obstructed AD BOARDS to face the cameras. With Fifa WCQ guidelines specifying that team benches cannot be placed behind protective ad barriers, the conflict arose and thus the benches were moved to the West.

Chris Keeney - Sr. Dir. of Sales for RSL assured me that benches will be moved back to their original location following this weekend.

Hmm... what a nice piece of politically correct BS.

I was told by RSL Director of Ops (when the WCQ was first announced) that "The Bruce" refused to come here unless we moved the benches. Funny thing is, now that he is here he is asking the team to by $17,000 bench covers because he doesn't like the ones we already have...

I am glad he came here and hope he comes again, but man "The Bruce" is a pain in the butt. 😲

Whether or not The Bruce is a pain or not is irrelevent...

Just an alternative thought.
did he not request new bench covers because the two that RSL already own do not cover the entire team benches and he wanted two extras to make sure both teams are adequately covered?
