I really hope to see more of Trembly. He's slowly turning into one of my favorite players.

I wonder if there's any possibiliy he'll start on Saturday.

Well, I've had a couple of days to cool off, and reading this thread just made me all irate again, heh. :D

I understand why Coach E tried the 4-5-1, but it has GOT TO GO. We couldn't sustain enough of an attack to take any pressure off our defense, and it killed us.

Our defenders hit long vertical balls straight up front to Kreis, who promptly gets the snot beat out of him and the ball bounces right back toward our defense. However, because of all the congestion in the midfield between our five guys and whatever the opponent's countering with, our defenders don't have the room to work the ball out of the back.

So we inevitably slow the ball down, which gives the opponent time to sit in our passing channels and anticipate exactly where the ball is going, we give the ball away, and we're right back where we started from.

I don't think it's a big fat coincidence that we finally started attacking in the last 20 minutes of the game -- it was just too late at that point.

It's all a vicious circle. Arrrrrgggghhhh.

Well, if it helps you feel better, it certainly sounded like the 4-5-1 was on its way out according to Coach Ellinger in his interview today. He talked about moving either Clint or Andy out wide to force the other one to actually take responsibility for the middle instead of relying on the other one to do it. Whoever is left in the middle would have to do it without thinking that they have help there. So, there may be hope. I certainly liked the way the team looked when they went to the 3-4-3 at the end of the game. I'm not sure that he would go with that for a whole game though, especially with Pope missing in the back.

Personally, I voted based on who put the most energy out there.
Therefore I picked Trembley.
